Viking
G-AGRS in early Eagle Airways livery.
A picture of
the cockpit of Viking G-AIHA airborne at 9,000' en route to the UK. The F/O can be seen
delicately holding his cigarette whilst scanning the instruments. The Captain's coffee cup
is seen empty awaiting a refill. The picture was sent by former Radio Officer Dennis
Phillips who was the R/O crew member on this flight. Believed to be around 1956. -- not
the time -- but the year.
Believed to be Judy Roberts taking a break on
the passenger steps during turn round at Innsbruck (Sunday Special flight) sometime in the
late 50s.
Interior of a Viking cabin. probably not far off Concorde
diameter. Note the seats and the small step in mid aisle to assist in getting over the
upper part of the main spar which inconveniently ran through the cabin and obstructed
passage up the aisle.

Airways on the Viking recalling the aircraft type by a former crew member.
